January 26, 2017:  In Class:  Review Chapter 2.   Group Work.  ANC:  Prepare descriptions of the work that you have done that relates to the job. This work may have been completed on the job, in coursework, community service or other relevant place. Remember to repeat keywords that you found in the job description as often as possible.You can do this within a resume or in paragraph form on a sheet of paper.

January 24, 2017:  In class: Quiz.  Review Chapter 1.  Group Project.  ANC:  Read Chapter 2.  Use the list that you made for today's class to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your qualifications for the job that you want to apply for.  Write an essay that summarizes your strengths and weaknesses when applying for this position and provides a plan to strengthen your qualifications.

January 19, 2017:  In class: Answer any questions about syllabus, Discuss the basics of the 291 class.  Introduce Unit 1.  ANC:  1) Read Chapter 1. 2) Find a job description for the job that you want to get when you graduate college which details what the employer is looking for. You can look at indeed.com, monster.com or use any other resource at your disposal.  3) Then, take the job description and make a list of experience, qualifications, and skills the employer is looking for.  Then, for each, tell what you possess or have done that fits each of the criteria.
